Life in Kelowna – Hike Up Knox Mountain

The weather this past weekend was amazing here in Kelowna. For days like this, there are so many great hiking trails around. Many locals enjoy a nice and easy hike up Knox Mountain. “Knox” is located at the North End of town. The trails range from easy to medium difficulty providing an amazing view over the city and Okanagan Lake. I usually take the Apex Trail which is a bit more challenging than hiking up the road but it also provides you with breathtaking views all the way up to the top. If you are planing on visiting or living in Kelowna, Knox Mountain is really something you shouldn’t miss.

Here are a few captures from last weekend:

  1. Dear Tugce Oezatilgan – I am creating a booklet to outline the history of fruit farming in the Okanagan Valley. It is to be published by Lake Country Museum, and sold to schools and to members of the general public. (I expect about 1,000 copies will be printed over time.)
I hope you will grant me permission to include your photo, “Knox Mountain 21,” on one 2-page spread, to give readers a general idea of how the valley looked without irrigation, i.e., pre-contact. (Note that several portions of the photo would be obscured by text or other imagery.) If that is permissible, please let me know what terms would apply.
